London, October 27. Yesterday morning, about six o'clock,
his Majesty landed at Harwich, and about three in the
afternoon he safely arrived at Kensington, being attended
(in an open chaise) by the Marquis de Forest; on which
occasion there was soon after a numerous and splendid
appearance of the nobility, foreign ministers, and other
persons of distinction, to congratulate his Majesty on his
safe arrival. The evening concluded with ringing of bells,
bonfires, and other publick demonstrations of joy,
throughout the cities of London and Westminster.
