Dantzick, Octob. 10. It is written from Poland, that the
Crown Regimentary Kiowski had intercepted a letter from the
Saxon ministers, importing, that as soon as the Russians
were arrived at Warsaw, the arms, &c. in their house should
be delivered up to them. Whereupon the said house was
searched by the Polanders, who found therein some thousands
of muskets, carbines, pistols, balls, &c. An express has
brought thither the news, that about 1200 Russians had
passed the Vistula three miles from Warsaw, which the
Regimentary did not oppose, but attacked them as soon as
they were got over, killed 300 of them, and took 400
prisoners. Yesterday about two o'clock in the afternoon the
Primate received another express from Poland, with advice
that the party near rough proclaimed the Elector of Saxony
their King, the 5th instant, with firing the cannon, singing
the Te Deum, and what not & so that we have now two Kings,
which is a great mortification to certain people.
