Canterbury, in Connecticut Colony, Sept. 3. This day was
ordained the Rev. Mr. John Wadsworth, pastor of the church
in this place: The Rev. Mr. Kirtland of Newent began with
Prayer: The Rev. Mr. Fisk of Kellingley, preached the
sermon from Rom.10.14,15. The Rev. Mr. Coit of Plainfield
pray'd and gave the charge: The Rev. Mr. Lord of Norwich
prayed after the charge; and the Rev. Mr. Williams of
Mansfield gave the right hand of fellowship: The 68th Psalm
3d part was sung, and Mr. Wadsworth gave the blessing.
