Stoneham [Mass.], Sept. 10. This day was ordained here the
Rev. Mr. James Osgood, pastor of the church lately gathered
in this place. The Rev. Mr. Emerson of Malden began with
prayer, the Rev. Mr. Prescott of Salem preach'd the sermon,
from 1.Pet.v.4. And when the chief shepherd shall appear, ye
shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away. The
Rev. Mr. Abbot of Charlestown prayed after sermon. the Rev.
Mr. Brown of Reading gave the charge; the Rev. Mr. Fisk of
Salem the right hand of fellowship. The xxiii Psalm was
sung. Mr. Osgood concluded with pronouncing the blessing.
