From the British Journal, Feb. 17.  Bologna, Jan. 31.  We
hear that the Pretender has had a secret interview with the
Duke of Parma.  His eldest son was so much out of order by
fasting 3 days together for the benefit of the Pope's
jubilee, that . . . [3 lines] All Italy swarms at present
with processions of penitents to gain the benefits of the
Pope's jubilee.  The governor of Rome having represented to
the Pope, that the merchants and poor taylors of that city
will be very great sufferers by the prohibition of
masquerades, the Pope was so much concern'd at it, that he
has permitted masquerading, provided there be no balls nor
feasts.
