London, Aug. 2. Sunday, being the anniversary of his
Majesty's seasonable accession to the crown, when he enter'd
into the twelfth year of his happy reign, the guns at the
Tower, Whitehall, &c. were fired, and the flags displayed,
&c. as usual, but the more general rejoicings were deferred
till yesterday, when the bells were rung at most of our
churches, and the night concluded with bonfires, fireworks,
and illuminations.
