Hamburgh (in Denmark) Octob. 8. N.S. By yesterday's post we
received letters from Petersbourg of the 20th past, which
brought an account, that on the 14th of September a courier
arrived from Persia, dispatched by Major General Matuskin of
the Guards. . . [1 line] had taken the town of Baku, situate
in the Province of Schirvan. . . [5 lines] Hereupon the
Czar ordered Te Deum to be sung on the 16th in the Trinity
Church at Petersbourg, and the artillery round the town to
be discharged thrice.
