Petersburgh, March 29. The Polish ambassador and
plenipotentiary, M. Chomentofsky, Palatine of Mazovia, had a
conference here on the 23d instant, with the czar's
ministers; he went thither with a splendid appearance and
during the time of their conference, a company of soldiers
was drawn up before the house, with displayed colours, and
at the ambassadors entering and going out, he was honoured
with beat of drum and their field musick. He receives every
day visits from all persons of the first rank, and returns
them.
