Tuesday being St.David's Day, and the anniversary of the
birth of her Royal Highness the Princess of Wales, there was
a very grand appearance of the nobility, clergy and gentry,
at their royal Highnesses levee. The Prince ordered 10
guineas to the ringers at St. Martins parish, and 20 to the
poor of St. Anns Soho; as also a very considerable donation
to the Welch Charity Children; at night there was a great
ball at Leicester House. His Majesty wore a leek, in honour
of the day, and at ten in the forenoon the Duke of Mintague
went with a compliment from his Majesty to her Royal
Highness.
