Venice, Jan. 14. Last Sunday evening an earthquake was felt
in this city, by which some chimneys were thrown down, but
no other damage was done: The shock was most felt at the
opera and play house, where the performers and actors let
fall the curtains, and the company run out. We have advice
from Friuli, that the earthquake was more violent there than
in other parts, having thrown down several churches and
houses.
