London, April 6. They write from Gibraltar, that on the
first of March, being her Royal Highnesses birth day, when
they also received an account of his Majesty's happy return
to England Colonel Cotton, the Lieut. Governour gave a
splendid treat to Admiral Cornwal, and all the officers of
the garrison, who being under arms in the evening, fir'd 3
volleys, and were answer'd by as many rounds of artillery.
At the same time the Lieut. Governour gave each regiment a
hogshead of claret to drink the healths of his Majesty, the
Prince and Princess, and all the royal family, and the whole
concluded with a ball, bonfires, illuminations and other
marks of joy.
