Vienna, July 28. N.S. On the 25th instant Te Deum was sung
here in St. Stephen's Church, in the presence of the Emperor
and Empress, and the guns fired from the walls of the town,
for our late victory over the French in Flanders. . . [2

day, it was celebrated here with a great appearance of
nobility at court in the morning, and with an opera at
night; perform'd in the garden of the Old Favourite, where
all the actors appear'd on horse-back, and in triumphal
chariots, after the manner of the ancient Romans. . . [17
