Wanted Immediately, For the corps of the Continental
Artillery, commanded by General Knox, a number of smart
likely lads, for fifers and drummers.--If any incline to
serve in the glorious and best of causes in their country in
this way, they may call at my quarters, the North side of
the State House, where they shall meet with the best
encouragement, and put to practice immediately.  They are to
engage for 3 years, or the contest with Great-Britain, that
monster of the world.

   Fifers and drummers.  Wanted immediately, sixteen smart
active lads (from 14 to 17 years of age) as fifers and
drummers.--Any such who wish to engage in the service of
their country, may, by inquiring of Major John S. Tyler, of
this town, meet with good encouragement. 
  N.B.  Proper masters are provided to instruct the drum and
fife.  Boston, March 8, 1777.
