London, May 9. On Saturday a great body of sailors met in
St. George's Fields in the East, and went to St. James's,
with colours flying, drums beating, and fifes playing, and
presented a petition to his Majesty, setting for the
hardships they at present labour under, on account of the
smallness of their wages, &c. and praying relief. They
divided themselves into two parties, one went over London
Bridge, the other marched through the city.
