Abington, May 17, 1766.  This morning passed through this
town, two strangers with the glorious news of the repeal of
the Stamp Act. . .
 [2d para]   The news was immediately proclaimed by beat of
drum, and the ringing of our bells by which means were
collected a large number of people. . . [9 lines] The
solemnity ended by singing a psalm suitable to the occasion.
