London. . . Nov. 2. We are greatly concerned to give our
readers the following melancholly article of his Royal
Highness William Augustus Duke of Cumberland, who died
suddenly at his house in Upper Grosvenor street, on Thursday
night, about eight o'clock, in the 45th year of his age,
being born April 25, 1721, greatly regretted by all lovers
of liberty. [4th para.:]
Yesterday orders were sent to both theatres to suspend
acting till further notice.
