London, Nov. 13. There were present on Tuesday at
Guildhall, the Marquis de Croy, who lately came from France,
the Lord Chancellor, the Lords Talbot, Halifax, Effingham,
Northumberland, Egremont, Bute, Cathcart, Falmouth,
Mansfield, Tilney, the Speaker of the House of Commons,
several judges, and gentry of the first rank. The number of
them was so great, that the Aldermen were obliged to dine at
the sword-bearer's table. At eight o'clock the ball was
opened, and the evening was ended much to the satisfaction
of those who provided the entertainment.
