His Excellency the Governor was pleas'd to order the publick
rejoycings, for the repeated, signal success of His
Majesty's arms, in the reduction of the Havannah, and in
Germany, to be on Thursday last,. . . [7 lines] In the
afternoon the bells rang; and his Excellency with the two
houses was escorted by his Company of Cadets, to Concert
Hall, where a fine piece of musick was performed, to the
satisfaction of a very large assembly; and in the evening
there were beautiful illuminations, and a great variety of
fire works in many parts of the town.
