Barbados, June 24th, 1740.  This being the Feast of St. John
the Baptist, the master and brethren of the St. Michael's
Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons, in a grand procession,
went to St. Michaels Church in Bridge Town, to pay their
devotions,. . . [5 lines].
  The procession was from Mr. Frith's house near the Old
Church yard, which took up the whole compass of the town,
and in the following order.

  After the sermon the master and brethren, with the other
gentlemen attendant on his Excellency in the procession,
proceeded from church, in the same order as above to the
lodge house, where an elegant entertainment was prepared for
them, and the ladies the sisters; and in the evening, they
conducted the ladies to the Assembly Room where they gave a
ball to the sisters, and other ladies and gentlemen, to who
tickets had been given for that purpose.
