| Citation | BG.737.017 7-14 Nov 1737:22 (931) On Saturday last the large bell mentioned in some of our news papers, was raised, and placed in the steeple of the West Church in this town, whereof the Reverend Mr. Hooper is pastor; and by good judges is allowed to have the loudest and most melodious sound of any bell in the country; and we are inform'd was the generous present of Francis Wilks, Esq; and some of his friends, who are well wishers to the dissenting Protestant interest. |
