Dublin-Castle, October 13. Thursday being the anniversary
of their Majesties Coronation, the great guns were fired at
the barracks, and answered by volleies from the regiments in
garrison, which were drawn out upon Ormantown Green. At
noon there was a very numerous appearance of the nobility,
and other person of distinction, at the Castle, to
compliment his Grace the Lieutenant on that occasion; after
which his Grace, attended by the Guard of Battle-Arcs, and a
squadron of horse made a tour round St. Stephen's Green. In
the evening there were bonfires, illuminations, and all
other demonstrations of joy. A play was given by his grace,
for the entertainment of the ladies, and after the play a
ball, and a magnificent collation at the Castle.
