Berlin, July 7. The 4th in the evening there was a [ ]
ball at court, which lasted till [ ] in the morning, all
the apartments were illuminated with a prodigious number of
wax cangles, and each illumination cost above 800 crowns.
The King having been informed that the purveyor of the court
had forgot to invite to the ball the Marquis de Chetardie,
Minister of France, his Majesty caus'd him immediately to be
put under arrest, but on the strong insistances made by the
said minister to obtain him pardon, his majesty had the
goodness to grant it him.
