By letters from New-York on the 22d of Jan. we have the
following account: That on Saturday last the Prince of
Wales birth day was celebrated here; on which day Lord
Augustus Fitz Roy gave a very elegant entertainment to this
corporation in return for their compliment of his freedom;
at which was his excellency the Governour, several gentlemen
of the council, speaker of the assembly Capt. Long, and
divers gentlemen of distinction; and at night his excellency
had a fine ball in the fort.
