Citation | BG.730.008 16-23 Feb 1730:21 (533) London, November 30. . . The same morning [Thursday], was sent down to St. Albans in Hertfordshire, a fine peal of eight bells for St.Mary's Church, the Treble weighs about six hundred weight, and the tenor about twenty, founded by Mr. Richard Phelps of Whitechapple; whose late performance for the parish of St. Michael's Cornhil is thought, by the most impartial judges, to have exceeded every thing hitherto performed of this kind. |
