Paris, Decemb. 10. . .   The footman who struck the centinal
the day the Queen came to the opera, was put to the torture
of the Garcan (an iron collar) the 6th inst. in the square
of the Palais Royal, where he was exposed 3 days, and is to
be sent likewise to the Gallies for life.
