Sept. 10.  The following authentic intelligence is a
striking instance of the decay of our manufactories.
Mess. Mauduit and Wright, for many years successively have
bought in Wivelscomb, Somerset, between February and the end
of June, three thousand pieces of the manufactory of that
place, which were sent to North America:  but this season
their number has not exceeded two hundred.  When Mr. Mauduit
or his partner visited the town, which was almost annually,
the bells rang and there was a grand festival, but now the
scene is sadly changed.
