Tuesday last the remains of Charles Hay, Esq; late captain
of the Tamar Man of War, were honorably interred in a tomb
under King's Chapel:----The funeral procession was preceded
by a Company of Marines from his Majesty's ship the Captain,
with a band of musick playing the dead march:----His
excellency the Governor and the honorable Admiral Montagu,
with the officers of his Majesty's ships, and a number of
other gentlemen attended the funeral. Minute guns were fired
on board the Tamar during the procession, and three vollies
by the marines at the interment.------There was a vast
number of spectators to see the procession.
