Philadelphia, April 19. yesterday the bells of Christ-
Church, in this city, were rang muffled on account of the
death of the Hon. Richard Penn, Esq; one of the proprietors
of this province. Several churches of this provence. Several
churches, of different denominations, were also hung in
mourning, and sermons, suitable to the occasion, preached by
the respective pastors.
