Wednesday last being commencement at Harvard-College in
Cambridge, after a preparatory prayer by the Rev'd President
Locke, the exercises of the morning began with a salutatory
oration in Latin, then followed an English dialogue on the
importance of science and public liberty. . . [13 more lines

were conferred in the usual manner previous to the
valedictory oration, a prayer by the president, and an
anthem performed by the undergraduates closed the
