Old Colyn, Nov.31.1767. I have waited this long while and
heard the jangles and cabals that have filled you's and
brothers Edes and Gill's paper, for the year past, & a
pretty jingle they make: some sharp and some flat pieces;
some on a high and some on a low key, musical enough! and
oh! the heapest of odd names every invented, that altogether
the alphabet has been butchered most cruelly.  I've often
thought who pays the fidler or these scribblers. . . [20
