American Intelligence. Quebec, July 3. . . [6 lines]  The
same day, at 11 o'clock at night, arrived in this city from
London, Mr. Briand, Bishop of Quebec, for the Roman
Catholics, who manifested on this occasion all their
affection for what concerns their religion. On the day
following, at 5 o'clock in the morning, the bells of all
their churches announced his arrival to the whole city,
which gave such general satisfaction to the Canadians, that
many of them were seen to shed tears thro' joy. . . [21 more
