We have a report from Virginia, that upon the arrival of the
Stamp-Master there, the gentlemen of the place invited him
to a ball at night, and treated him with the utmost
politeness, but after it was over they informed him his
baggage was put on board another vessel which was to said
for London the next mor*ning, and advised him to take
passage in her without delay, as his life would be in danger
if he staid there another day; this advice 'tis said he
complied with & went off immediately.
