London, Oct. 8. . . An affair has lately happened at
Guildford, which is likely to make some noise; a deputy
Lieutenant and four Justices of the peace being met at the
white Hart-inn, [sic] in order to put the laws in execution
relating to the militia; a drum came to beat up for
volunteers under the window, which obstructed their
business; and they complaining thereof, the drum came into
the room, and drummed them all out.
