By the man of war and transports arrived at New-York, we
have the following more particular and perfect accounts of
the important conquest of the Havannah, viz. . . [4th para.,
4th line]  On Tuesday the 10th of August, Lord Albemarle
sent an officer, with a drum, to the governor, to demand
possession of the city, and in case of refusal to acquaint
him that he would set fire to it the next morning.---The
governor answered that he had 6 months ammunition, and would
defend it to the last extremity. . . [1 1/2 cols. more]
