Olmutz was very nearly being reduced by the King of Prussia,
when Count Daun, who was advanced with the Austrian forces,
surprised a large convoy of military stores and provisions
for the King's army, which he took and destroyed, whereupon
he was obliged to raise the siege, and made a very close and
regular retreat, tho' hotly pursued by the Count with his
whole army.  The empress Queen upon this caused Te Deum to
be sung, and all the courts of Europe rung with the great
advantage she had gained over the Prussians. . .
