Kingston, Jamaica, July 8. On Monday last was celebrated at
St. Jago de la Vega, by the brethren of the Ancient and
Honourable Society of Free and Accepted Masons, the annual
feast of St. John the Baptist. in the forenoon of that day,
the brethren, to the number of 73 assembled at the house of
Brother Curtis, and from thence proceeded to the church,
where an excellent sermon, suitable to the occasion, was
preached by their Rev. Brother Anthony Davis; after which
they returned in the same order, to Brother Curtis's, where
an elegant entertainment was prepared; and having finished
the necessary business of the day, went in a body to the
house of Brother Bankes, where the comedy of the Constant
Couple was performed for the benefit of that brother.
