Paris, March 20. . . A few days ago an officer of the
Aubigne Regiment of Dragoons being at a ball at Iff . . .
insisted on dancing with the Lieutenant-General's lady in
spite of her husband, who, in resentment of this behaviour,
took an opportunity next day to shoot the officer in the
back, and at the same time his brother gave him three stabs
with the sword, which dispatched him. The lieutenant-
general fled; but his brother is taken up.
