March 8.  We learn by the master of a ship that came on
Chan[   ] yesterday, who was at Aberdeen on Saturday last,
that his Royal Highness the Duke of Cumberland was then
there with an army of ten thousand men, and that he had sent
between two and three thousand of them:
He arrived there on the Thursday before, on which occasion
the bells were rung, the houses illuminated, and all other
demonstrations of joy shewn by the inhabitants. . .
