Vienna, Dec. 31. O.S. On the 27th, at six in the evening,
the marriage of Prince Charles with the arch-duchess
Marianne was celebrated in the Augustine Church adjoining to
the court. The Prince cloathed in a kind of Spanish dress,
with a mantle all of cloth of silver, and accompanied by all
the Knights of the Golden Fleece, and ministers of state,
with a large number of chamberlains, and other of the
nobility, walk'd in procession to the church. Next followed
the Great Duke in a dress of cloth of gold, and then the
Queen, leading the Archdutchess. In this manner they
proceeded to church thro' an incredible croud of people, and
after the ceremony, which lasted about half an hour,
returned in the same order. The next day there was a very
grand opera at court in the old imperial taste, and
yesterday a ball. On Sunday next there is to be a
misquerade in the riding-house, which is to be illuminated
with 6000 wax lights. On this occasion sixteen knights of
the Order of the Golden Fleece were created. The Prince and
his consort are to set out, it is said, the 13th of February
for Brussels.
