Dublin, Nov. 4. Saturday last being the anniversary of the
birth-day of the brave Admiral Vernon, the same was observed
here with great demonstrations of joy: In the morning the
bells of St. Patrick's church rang
( by order of the Dean) Britons Strike Home, &c. with great
variety of changes; the flag of St. Audeon's steeple was
displayed, on which were 23 guns, which were fired several
times, and were answered by the guns and patteraroes from
Purcell's Castle,. . . Several houses were illuminated,
and many genteel entertainments were made upon that
occasion.
