Last Thursday about twelve o'clock, our free and accepted
porters took it in their heads to march in a grand
procession through the main streets of the town over to
Roxbury, where they had bespoke a costly dinner.  They were
dressed in a very polite manner, having clean white hackets,
aprons and gloves, and were preceded by two musicians, one
white, the other black, playing on different instruments and
a person in the rear carrying a bag, which most people think
contained the jewels of the society; but we are quite of
another opinion, nothing in the said bag appearing at all
like wheelbarrows.
