London. . . May 7. . . On Saturday night last there was a
great bonfire made at Putney in Surry, the bells rung, and
the gentlemen of the town spent the evening in rejoicings,
on the bill's being flung out of the house of Commons for
reducing the interest from 4 to 3 per cent.
