Paris, Apr 9.  The Lieutenant General of the police has
been obliged to place a guard for two days before the
convent where the fire happened a few days ago, on account
of the mob having assembled in great numbers, and threatened
to stone the nuns for refusing to suffer the bell to be rung
when the fire was first discovered on account of its being
Good Friday. . .
