the best books in every branch of polite literature, arts

Shakespeare's works, 10 vols. A new edition, to which is
prefixed, Mr. Pope's preface, Shakespeare's life, by Mr.
Rowe, and Shakespeare's will. The text of this edition hath
been carefully compared with Mr. Theobald's, Mr. Pope's, Dr.
Johnson's, and other editions of the best authority. The
notes are chiefly selected from Mr. Pope, Mr. Theobald, Sir
Thomas Hanmer, Bishop Warburton, and Dr. Johnson: From the

vogue, (ornamented with a very elegant frontispiece,
designed by the celebrated Gravelot, of Paris, and a
Falstaff's head, finely engraved.) . . .

Clandestine Marriage, by Messrs. Garrick and Colman, one of
the best comedies in the English language. . .

Knapp's New Set of Psalms and Anthems, with a pastoral hymn
by the famous Mr. Addison set to music by his Majesty's
composer, and performed in the Chapel-Royal.
