Extract of a letter from Genoa, Sept. 5, N.S. The republick
seems to be at her wits end; perplexed on the one hand at
the conduct of the English, alarmed on the other hand by the
views of another power, and terrified with the apprehension
of what is likely to happen in Corsica. . . [3 lines] The
inhabitants of Bologna have rung the alarum or fire bell,
and demand of the Republick on what footing matters are to
be put in regard to them, and whether the new intended
regulation is to be guaranteed by France. . .
