Friend Bradford, As oppression and tyranny are and ever
have been with all ages, yokes of too heavy burden to be
bourn without complaint; so by oppression and tyranny I have
been and am now so much aggrieved and distrest; that often
makes me complain with the Royal Psalmist--in the following
manner:
Do thou, O God, in mercy help,
For man my life pursues:
To crush me with repeated wrongs,
He daily strife renews.
