London, . . . May 29. On Monday 1st, the barber belonging
to the Theatre-Royal in Covent-Garden, going to shave a
gentleman near Bloomsbury, who not being up, he went into
the stable to wait; and going into one of the stalls to
stroke a horse called Sharper, on the neck, the horse flew
at his head, tore off his hat and wig, and his left ear
close to his head, and eat the ear. The barber is very
well, but it's thought will never be able to appear in a cue
wig.
