Exon [England], November 17.  Friday and Saturday mornings
last, a grenadier received each day three lashes from each
man in the regiment, for drinking the Pretender's health, by
the [ ]le of King James the IIId, and was afterwards drummed
out of the town with the halter about his neck. . .
