Annapolis, December 3. On the 14th of last month the Right
honourable Charles Lord Baron of Baltimore and Avalon, our
Proprietor, &c. and his Lady, &c. arrived here in his own
ship and in perfect health . . . [10 lines, other arrivals.
On] the anniversary of St. Andrew, the same was observed
here, and the gentlemen of the Scotch Society having met
about 12 o'clock, went to the Parish church of this city,
and hear an excellent sermon. . . [8 lines, dinner with Lord
Baltemore and Governor.] The same evening the Lord
Baltemore was pleased to give a splendid ball, the like
never given here before, at which there was a great
appearance of gentlemen and ladies.
