Form the Ocean is a contra dance and creative retreat for women - the first of its kind!

An opportunity for movement, creating art together, and meaningful conversations. A space of our own to play and learn. We want you to leave this weekend feeling more connected to the national contra dance community of women and more able to meet the needs of your communities, your body, and your spirit.

Expect about 1/3 contra dancing, 1/3 making things and sharing skills, and 1/3 conversations that matter.

We have rebuilt our events calendar and we'd like your help in populating it! You may add special events, weekends, and weeks, and dance series — click here to add an event.

Need help adding events? We've set up a tutorial for adding events, and you'll find it here. It explains the process for setting up single and repeating events in detail, and includes screen shots.

Though we would prefer that you enter your own events, you can also email your information (name of event, date/s, location, short description, and whether or not you are a CDSS Group Affiliate) to events@cdss.org and we'll add your events.
